PAYSON

I’ve always remembered visiting Arizona for its vast deserts, scorching temperatures, and suburban sprawl. When my friends invited me to go on a camping trip with them, I was certain that we would be camping under cactus’s, on the desert floor. To my great surprise, our trip would be filled with trees, mountains, lakes, and pretty much everything that I did not expect nor prepare for. About an hour north from Chandler is Payson; a mountain community with plenty of outdoor activities to offer. After a scenic drive up “The Beeline” highway, we spent three days and two nights venturing down offroad trails, cooking, fishing, and spending time around the bonfire. Some of my comrades had acquired new 4×4 toys to play with, and it was fun to see them put them to test. This would be my first time taking the truck out to Arizona with the new suspension and tires. I noticed a considerable amount of gained traction through the mud, which would have given me some problems before. It was great to catch up the boys and I hope this is first of many more camping trips to come with them.
