Joshua tree has been ranked high on our list of places to visit, so when the timing felt right, we packed the truck and made our way east towards the high desert. This particular weekend would be the first weekend of the year where people could stake their own site without reservations, but the park was already filled to capacity by the time we arrived. Persistence paid off, and Anthony found a local RV park across the highway Where we could setup camp for the night. The following day, we stopped by a dry lake bed and let Dre and Marley hangout while we planned our excursion through Joshua Tree. We were able to get through most of the park in the morning while visiting many of the popular attractions. We finished the day with BBQ at the infamous Pappy and Harriets Restaurant in Pioneer Town.
