Nestled high in the San Jacinto mountain range is the quiet town of Idyllwild. For some time, we had be searching for a weekend getaway in the mountains and beneath the trees and Idyllwild was the perfect fit. Many of the local highways had been shut down due to recent storms, which made it easy to grab food and get to our destinations quickly. A wild fire had come through the year prior and left dramatic landscapes all around us. We look forward to visiting Idyllwild again during the warmer seasons to visit their campgrounds.
