HI LIFE: ISLAND TRUCKS

HI LIFE: ISLAND TRUCKS

When it comes to cars, I am a total automotive junkie, and I appreciate all types of vehicles from different parts of the world. When I visited Hawaii, I kept my eyes peeled to see what the “scene” was like across the Pacific. I was pleasantly impressed to see that Toyota trucks of all makes and models were taken in high regard, and modified to become surfboard bearing monster trucks. There was just something about these trucks that seemed native only to the Hawaiian islands and had a very “local” vibe about them. The deep dish wheels, which were accompanied by stretched mud bogger tires seemed to be the style, which was carried from rig to rig. These types of trucks were very refreshing to see and brought back memories of the truck shows that my father used to take me to when I was growing up.
