Recently, I took a brisk walk through the UCSD campus seeking inspiration for a project which had recently been assigned at school. Along my walk, I found a quirky gesture which involved a typical single story residential house hoisted eight stories on top of the engineering building. The house was cantilevered over the edge so it appeared as if it was going to fall off the edge at any second. There were lights turned on inside the house which suggested that people actually occupied the unusual space. I also passed by the Geisel Library and got caught up with it’s brutal design. I haven’t seen it at night before and took a couple photo’s of it before calling it a night.
