THE STRIP

THE STRIP

As previously mentioned, my last visit to Las Vegas was school related, which allowed me to take time to observe the environment from an academic and architectural standpoint. From an urban perspective, I was impressed with how The Strip coped with a grand audience in one boulevard, while maintaining the essential functions of a desert city. Some of the spaces that I encountered on my walk-about seemed like they were designed for something larger than the human scale. Las Vegas is one of the only places in this country where such a phenomenon occurs, and I am pleased to have experienced it in closer detail.
