PINE KNOT

PINE KNOT

Time has become so elusive nowadays. I’m finding it more difficult to spend some time on the things that I really enjoy. Recently, I’ve been itching to leave town for a little bit and enjoy the great outdoors with good company. My girlfriend pulled all the stops for me and arranged a camping trip in the San Bernadino Mountains. I remember being very strategic about this location, making sure we found a campsite that was far enough to enjoy the sights, but close enough to get back home in time for the work week. This was my first time at Pine Knot Campground and I was very pleased with the outcome. Our site was surrounded with dense trees and we were so high in altitude that we could see the clouds soar right above us. We proceeded to hike the Pine Knot Trail, which took us to the summit of a nearby peak. At the top, we could see snow capped mountains and panoramic views of Bear Lake. This was also Dre’s first camping trip and he handled it like a champ. After the hike we threw down on some prime-cut ground beef burgers and kept the cups full of whiskey as we caught up with each other around the camp fire.
