MONACHE MEADOWS

Traveling north on Highway 395 has become a new found addiction for us. The contrasting landscapes and scenic terrain has made this an optimal location for the outdoor traveler. At the time of this writing, most of the Eastern Sierras are now blanketed with snow after a series of consecutive storms have made their way through California. Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort recently stated that the resort would be open all the way until July 4th this year because of how much snow was received. We still have much to explore in this region, and it will be years before we see it all. I’m very excited to see what the future holds from the Eastern Sierras.

Last fall, before the harsh winter arrived, we were able to climb high into the mountains to explore the nooks and crannies of Monache Meadows. We journeyed with a close group of friends with some heavily outfitted vehicles for a weekend of good food, scenic outlooks, and classic camp vibes.
