GETTY VILLA

If there is one thing that I still look forward to during the school year, it’s the field trips. It’s one of the few times you get to venture out of the comfort of the classroom and situate yourself in a new and refreshing environment. On this particular trip, I visited The Getty Villa, located in the Pacific Palisades.

The Getty Villa is one of two locations that are part of the J. Paul Getty Museums. At this specific location, students and visitors alike can experience the art and culture of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The Getty Villa is also enriched with architecture and landscape design. This was the second time I visited, and learned more about architecture and history compared to the first time I was here. The museum is a great place to relax and spend a couple hours, especially if you are visiting Santa Monica Beach.
