5&A DIME: PHOTO UNION

5&A DIME: PHOTO UNION

It’s been awhile since I heard the idea of the 5&A Dime family hosting a photography gathering. At the time, the plan was simple; gather anyone who was interested in photography, and walk together around downtown to take pictures. The event would be called Photo Union, and participants didn’t even need to own a camera to join. In true 5&A Dime fashion, this event was open to whoever was interested, and was another opportunity for friends to hangout together.

As a celebration of life for photographer Mark Andrew Gonzales, 5&A Dime felt like this would be an appropriate time to host the first Photo Union, as Mark was passionate about having this event become a success.

I didn’t know Mark personally, but I was determined to make it out because of the similar interests we shared. Mark’s family was also in attendance, bringing the group close together as we began our adventure.
